CONTUGAS selects Tory Technologies to implement SMADA solution

HOUSTON, Texas—September 12, 2018 — Tory Technologies Inc., a Houston-based company, announced that it has been awarded the contract to implement their SMADA solution based on FLOWCAL application, for CONTUGAS’s entire natural gas transportation and distribution system in Perú.

Supervisory Measurement and Data Analytics, “SMADA” – COSMOS™ is a new concept developed by Tory Technologies, Inc. to consolidate all the power of FLOWCAL and other Flow-Cal applications, such as TESTit, and PROVEit, within a single platform to gather field data directly from field devices and implement advanced tools for data processing, data display, and data sharing.

FLOWCAL is a powerful software application designed to manage liquid and gas measurement data; providing operational efficiencies by consolidating, validating, balancing, storing and ultimately distributing a company’s vital measurement data.

“We are very excited to see how FLOWCAL is expanding its presence in the region, Tory-Tech is 100% committed with all the users in the region, not only to bring and support these powerful tools, but also to help them maximize the usability of the application. It is really important for us to now have CONTUGAS as part of our family of users; we are sure FLOWCAL and COSMOS will help them to streamline their operations and secure the integrity of their measurement data,“ commented René Varón, President of Tory Technologies, Inc.

CONTUGAS as one of the major natural gas distribution companies in the Peruvian market, is continually improving its processes and procedures; we see a big opportunity in implementing FLOWCAL and the entire SMADA solution, since this effort will help us to ensure our compliance with the best industry practices and guarantee the transparency of our process with our clients”, commented Dario Angel, Operations Deputy Manager at CONTUGAS.

CONTUGAS is a Peruvian company that distributes and commercializes natural gas in the Ica region, specifically in the towns of Pisco, Chincha, Ica, Nasca, and Marcona. All this is thanks to the concession that was granted by the Peruvian State in 2009 to design and operate the natural gas distribution system for a period of 30 years.
